DNtengwe for Community Development 237 Binga Medium Density | Binga| Zimbabwe

ABSTRACT:There is no disaffirming the fact that with the Copenhagen 1995 World Social Summit, the Millennium Development Goals and the Leaving No One Behind mantra of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the concept of Inclusive Education has gained academic global currency. Very little attention has been paid to capture the interventions that are supporting Inclusive Education through practical educational and life skills support for Children with Disabilities (CWDs) in Africa. This paper was designed with the twin aim of contributing to Inclusive Education as a concept in currency and to explore the practical strides being made in promoting Inclusive education in Zimbabwe. The study applied implementation research approach to ascertain the achievements of A Brighter Future through Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities in Zimbabwe (BFIE) programme being implemented by Ntengwe for Community Development in Binga district. The study revealed a promising model indicating that Inclusive Education can be effectively promoted through an iterative process addressing a continuum of perceptions, knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, practical educational needs and policy processes. Instructively, the study found the need for multiple mutual partnerships and complementarity among civil society, communities, government and global partners at different levels as each brings different resources and competences necessary to promote Inclusive Education. This paper recommends the need to adopt a tailor made area specific type of interventions that address the whole repertoire of needs necessary to promote Inclusive Education for Children and Persons with Disabilities in Africa and the world

3. From Traditional Markets to Red Markets: A Look at Markets Under Perfect Socially Friendly Market Competition

Lucio Muñoz*

Independent Qualitative Comparative Researcher / Consultant, Vancouver, BC, Canada

ABSTRACT:Perfect market competition is at the heart of traditional market thinking. So when perfect markets shift, our thinking should perfectly shift too in order to be able to operate in the new perfect market, this is true whether we shift towards a green market or a red market or a sustainability market. For example the 2012 Rio + 20 conference chose to correct the traditional market to account for the environmental cost of doing business only; and therefore they chose a shift from perfect traditional market thinking to perfect green market thinking. However, if they would have chosen instead to correct the traditional market to account for the social cost of doing business only to address the poverty issue, then they would have chosen a shift from perfect traditional market thinking to perfect red market or socially friendly market thinking. And this would have indicated the need to understand the expected behavior of markets under perfect red market or socially friendly market competition, a knowledge that as far as the author knows does not yet exists. The main goal of this paper is to point out how markets should be expected to work under perfect red market or socially friendly market competition.

5. Moral and Amoral Liberal Democracies: How Targeted Chaos Can Affect the Democratic Process?

Lucio Muñoz*

* Independent Qualitative Comparative Researcher / Consultant, Vancouver, BC, Canada

ABSTRACT: Liberal democracies are usually morality based, but sometimes they can be amoral. When they are morality based, they are normal liberal democracies. When they are amorality based they are extreme liberal democracies. Morality and practical morality based world views or political platforms have been the competing forces usually fighting against each other to gain power and to reflect their views on policy under majority rule based normal liberal democracies, including in the USA. And one thing that these competing political groups claim to have in common is to have the best interest of the majority in mind or at heart. In other words, their moral high ground is to seek the best interest of the majority, and a true majority view support gives them the electoral win. This is because under normal democratic outcomes the majority view always wins the democratic contest. Hence, morality and practicality form the corner stone of opposition parties under normal liberal democracies under majority rule based systems. As we all know the world of extreme liberal democratic outcomes came in 2016, a shift from normal democratic outcomes to extreme democratic outcomes in the UK (BREXIT/LeaveEU) and in the USA (USEXIT/Trumpism). This represents a shift from morality based democracies or choices to amorality based democracies or choices. As extreme democratic outcomes have the best interest of the minority in mind, the shift meant a move away from moral and practical majority rule friendly values in favor of amoral values to closely reflect the best interest of the minority. This is because under extreme liberal democracies the minority view somehow wins the democratic contest. Hence, amorality forms the corner stone of party behavior under extreme liberal democracies, It is known that chaos, especially manufactured chaos or misinformation played a key role in the coming BREXIT and USEXIT in 2016 and continues to play a key role right now, yet not much is written to my knowledge about how that could happen, about where and how manufactured chaos can be targeted to induce specific complacency conditions or participation behavior that are necessary to induce specific ways of affecting the voting process creating in this manner political room for anti-majority rule democratic outcomes; and understand that way what happened in 2016 that shifted liberal democracy models from normal to extreme. Among the goals of this paper is to use qualitative comparative means to state the structure of true democracy in a way that allows us to represent a) how chaos, specially manufactured chaos, can actually be targeted specifically to influence, and to even shift normal democratic outcomes; and b) to use the same framework to highlight that with limited or no chaos we should always expect a normal democratic outcome.

6. Self-Driven Economic Evolution and Darvinism

Bruno Jossa

Institution /Università of Naples, via Mezzocannone 16

ABSTRACT: A historical materialist argues that the socio-political structure of society, the ideals and policies of a nation and the distinctive facets of a civilization are mainly shaped by the structural conditions under which production is carried on. Put differently, a historical materialist thinks of the socio-political structure of society, the ideals and policies of a nation and the distinctive facets of a civilization as mainly shaped by the conditions of production. This paper analyses this issue against the backdrop of the contractual origin of the firm as theorised in Alchian and Demsetz, 1972. According to the author, an employee-managed system is a new production mode with a distinctive potential for outperforming capitalism which, contrary to AD’s opinion, has failed to materialise because of the predominance of economics over politics – in full accord with the core assumption behind the materialist conception of history. An issue discussed is also the cultural roots of historical materialism.

ABSTRACT: The caste and religion based discrimination are great obstacles to social developments and motivational progress in India. Marriage as a sacred institution binds the partners in a pious relation. Marriage within the caste endogamy is the general norm of Indian society. When we talk about marriages, which are Intercaste and inter religious, it seems a taboo to most of the people. However, with the changing time things have changed considerably in the social world of the society. Inter-caste marriage became a part of social reality in the society. Customs and religious practices were so strict and merciless that even sometimes the boy and girl were hacked to death by their parents due to the pressure from their kith and kin and caste associations. We can see Inter-caste marriages taking place mostly in towns and cities. In the country side we have yet to go a long way to see the phenomena of inter-caste marriage becomes a reality. Inter-caste and inter religious marriages even among college students is still not considered in large scale.
